Snowboarding

What’s Open in Ontario?

We’re getting a bit of snow here in Toronto, but north of us there seems to be more on the ground. As a result, most ski areas in Southern Ontario and Western New York are making snow like nobody’s business. We’re going to track the openings in this thread.

As of 12/5 at 11AM:

Blue Mountain: Opening Friday (Dec. 8)
Horseshoe Resort: Opening Wednesday (Dec. 6)
Kissing Bridge: Aiming for weekend
Holiday Valley: Thursday or Friday (December 7 or 8)
Mount St. Louis Moonstone: Opening Friday (Dec. 8)

  1. Hi Adam!
Mellen (snowmellen.net) here, gearing up for another season.
Good to hear that Ontario is finally getting some snow: my family was telling me there still wasn’t much. But the Weather Channel here in Colorado keeps going on & on about the wintery weather around the great lakes… so I hope you guys get sniw for Christmas!
Looking forwards to catching up & snow season 2007!
    ^_^

Yup, me & my Aussie snowboard-instructor took the plunge and made it official. ^_^
