City of Denver Building Free Terrain Park

This is pretty cool. The city of Denver is teaming up with Winter Park Resort to offer a free terrain park in the city for six weeks, starting in January. The temporary park will feature six rails; you can check out the article here.

Although they tend to be lacklustre in size and features, I’m a big supporter of urban ski facilities wherever possible. Toronto has a couple, and while they’re certainly nothing like the Olympic Park in the outskirts of Calgary, it’s nice to have a couple of small 150 foot hills where people can learn to ride and ski. That’s how I learned. Now, if we only had a terrain park like Denver…
